The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is developing a new mobile app, E Aadhaar, to simplify Aadhaar-related services. This app, currently under development, is designed to allow users to perform four essential tasks associated with their Aadhaar card directly from their mobile phones. It is expected to be released for both Android and Apple users. Although the launch date is not yet known, the app will enable users to update their name, address, date of birth, and mobile number. This is intended to reduce the need for users to visit Aadhaar centers. UIDAI CEO Bhuvanesh Kumar revealed that a significant number of authentication devices have been upgraded to support the upcoming system. This will also solve the issue of carrying physical Aadhaar cards or providing photocopies during check-ins and travel. This app will provide a digital way to verify identity.
