The state of Chhattisgarh is celebrating India’s 79th Independence Day with various events planned across the region. The primary event will be held at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur, where Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will preside and hoist the national flag. The event will also feature the distribution of awards to police officers and staff, along with performances by schoolchildren. Numerous other leaders, including the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, several ministers, Members of Parliament, and Members of the Legislative Assembly, will be present at flag hoisting events across the state.
