In 2024-25, successful Khadi fairs were conducted in 12 major cities across the state, including Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Sonpur, Rajgir, Sitamarhi, Saharsa, Purnia, Banka, Aurangabad, Munger, and Jehanabad. The Bihar government emphasizes that Khadi and Village Industries are not merely symbols of tradition and culture but also contribute to environmental sustainability, strengthening the rural economy, and advancing the goal of a self-reliant India.
