Mark your calendars! The Renault Kiger facelift is poised to launch on August 24th, offering a competitive and affordable option in the compact SUV market. This new iteration brings updates to its appearance and features. Teaser images highlight design modifications, including a C-shaped taillight, a shark fin antenna, and a sportier rear bumper. A fresh green color option will be introduced. The front of the car will feature a revised grille incorporating the Renault logo. The side profile is expected to remain largely consistent, with features like dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, a sloping roofline, body cladding, roof rails, and square wheel arches. The mechanical specifications of the Kiger facelift are likely to remain unchanged, featuring the existing 1.0-liter naturally aspirated and 1.0-liter turbo petrol engines. The naturally aspirated engine will produce 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque, while the turbo engine will deliver 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. The same transmission choices will be offered: a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic. A CNG option will be available as a retrofit. The interior design is yet to be fully revealed; however, a new touchscreen infotainment system, a revised cabin theme, and updated seat upholstery are anticipated. Many of the current features, such as the 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charging, automatic AC, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, air filter, and ambient lighting, are likely to be carried over. Pricing for the updated Renault Kiger is anticipated to be close to the current model, which ranges from ₹6.15 lakh to ₹11.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle will compete in the compact SUV segment against the Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Maruti Brezza.
