The Israeli army has killed 262 crocodiles at a farm near the illegal West Bank settlement of Petza’el. The military action involved the creation of a killing zone, where the animals were shot. The farm had a population of approximately 800 crocodiles.
The operation began with the draining of the lake, followed by the shooting of hundreds of crocodiles. The carcasses were then removed by truck. The farm had previously served as a tourist attraction and operated a crocodile skin business. Around 3,000 crocodiles were brought to the site in the early 2000s.
