Farmers in Chhattisgarh are slated to receive financial assistance through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is overseeing the disbursement of ₹152.84 crore to 141,879 insured farmers in the state. The funds will be transferred directly to beneficiaries via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. This includes ₹10.25 crore for 33,943 farmers from the Kharif 2024 season and ₹142.58 crore for 107,936 farmers from the Rabi 2024-25 season. The disbursement is scheduled for August 11th and will be managed through an automated DBT platform, taking place in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, and presided over by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
