The Next Gen e-Hospital initiative, integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, is driving significant improvements in healthcare within the Bastar division. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal’s leadership is crucial in modernizing Chhattisgarh’s healthcare services. The e-Hospital system, operating across numerous hospitals and health centers, provides a digital platform for streamlined patient services. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission incorporates Health Facility and Professional Registrations, along with ABHA kiosks, for the creation of digital health accounts, improving patient access. The ‘Scan & Share’ feature and ABHA ID-based online OPD registration are improving patient flow. The positive impact is seen in a large percentage of OPD registrations linked to ABHA. Digital health records allow patients to access their medical history anywhere in the country. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai views the initiative as a model for the whole state. The goal is to implement these technologies throughout all districts. The project seeks to provide timely and quality treatment across Chhattisgarh, thus building a ‘Healthy and Empowered Chhattisgarh’. This initiative emphasizes how technology and administrative efforts work together to improve the healthcare experience.
