Tejashwi Yadav has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process, specifically targeting the Election Commission and Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister. He alleges that the voter lists are riddled with irregularities, and has taken issue with Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha’s alleged registration in two different constituencies.
He also criticized the Election Commission’s notice, stating he responded promptly. Yadav went on to accuse the BJP of eroding democracy and the constitution by manipulating the Election Commission. He cited the SIR process as a major fraud and said he would present evidence in court. He highlighted the issue of approximately three lakh houses in Bihar having house numbers like 000 or 0/0000, calling it a mockery of the system. He supported Rahul Gandhi’s claims about electoral fraud and said that if Vijay Kumar Sinha is found guilty, he should resign and face an FIR. He added that if the Election Commission is found to be at fault, the Election Commissioner should withdraw the SIR and apologize.
