This announcement comes as the country prepares for elections following the removal of Sheikh Hasina. Chief Election Commissioner A.M.M. Nasir Uddin stated that the Election Commission is still working to ensure the fairness and transparency of the election process. The specific date and schedule will be officially revealed two months before the elections. The announcement followed the declaration of the interim government’s chief advisor Muhammad Yunus, who had announced the election would be held in February next year.
