Xiaomi’s Redmi is set to release a new smartphone featuring a battery with a capacity between 8500mAh and 9000mAh, as reported in recent news. The company is leveraging advancements in silicon-carbon technology, enabling them to increase battery capacity without adding to the device’s size. Redmi is expected to incorporate its technology with the use of an advanced silicon-carbon composite to achieve this. The goal is to incorporate a high-capacity battery while keeping the phone’s thickness to less than 8.5mm without impacting battery life. This device is poised to become Redmi’s flagship in terms of battery capacity. Moreover, Redmi is also working on the launch of the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro which is likely to feature an 8000mAh battery. This will be a step up from the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which comes with a 7550mAh battery. Honor, a competitor, is also planning to launch a phone with a 10000 mAh battery.
