A major operation by security forces in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, led to the demolition of three Naxalite bunkers. This action was part of an ongoing effort to counter the banned CPI (Maoist) organization in the Kolhan-Saranda area. Alongside the bunker demolitions, a significant amount of Naxalite-related materials was recovered. Intelligence reports suggested that key Maoist leaders, including Misir Besra, were planning subversive activities in the Saranda and Kolhan regions. Acting on specific intelligence received on August 6th, a joint team comprising the Chaibasa police, Cobra 209 Battalion, CRPF, and Jharkhand Jaguar launched an operation in the Jarai Kela police station area. The operation resulted in the identification and destruction of three Naxalite bunkers near Handekuli. Among the items recovered were wires, batteries, Naxalite uniforms, jungle boots, backpacks, and other essential supplies. Authorities are currently examining the recovered materials, and surveillance of Naxalite movements continues. The joint operation is still underway, with the goal of eliminating all possible Naxalite hideouts.
