Rahul Gandhi, speaking in Bengaluru, Karnataka, leveled serious accusations against the Election Commission and the BJP, alleging that they engaged in vote manipulation. He stated that vote theft is a betrayal of the Constitution and the right to vote. Gandhi emphasized that the Constitution must be protected.
Gandhi specifically accused the BJP of benefiting from vote theft. He highlighted the Maharashtra election as an example, where the Congress-led coalition won the Lok Sabha, but the BJP subsequently won the assembly. He asserted that an investigation revealed that a significant number of new voters, approximately 1 crore, participated in the assembly elections, who had not voted in the Lok Sabha elections.
Gandhi stated that these new voters, who did not vote in the Lok Sabha elections, mysteriously appeared to vote in the assembly elections, and the BJP secured victories in those areas. He emphasized that while his coalition’s votes remained consistent, all the added voters favored the BJP.
Gandhi also discussed the Karnataka elections, where the initial polling data indicated his party would win more seats than they eventually secured. He said that the Election Commission denied their requests for voter lists and video recordings. He initiated an investigation in the Mahadevapura constituency, accusing the EC and the BJP of vote theft.
Gandhi claimed that around 1 lakh votes were stolen from the 6.5 lakh votes in Mahadevapura. He directly accused the Election Commission and the BJP of the theft.
