Ather is likely to introduce cruise control in its 450 series of electric scooters. This announcement could be made during the company’s 2025 Community Day on August 30, 2025. Ather may also unveil a new entry-level model on that day and release updates for existing models. While the information is not yet official, media reports citing industry sources suggest the addition of cruise control.
The existing 450 series has three models: 450s, 450X, and 450 Apex. Cruise control is expected to be added to the 450X and 450 Apex, with current owners getting it through software updates, provided they have the Atherstack Pro software. Cruise control is not a new technology in the Indian electric scooter market; Ola Electric introduced it in its S1 series in June 2022 with the Move OS 2.0 update, later improved with Move OS 4.0.
