In Raipur, the Helping Hands Club Foundation organized ‘Rakhi with Protector, a Bond of Love’ at the Police Parade Ground, Civil Lines, in honor of Raksha Bandhan. The event included the participation of the BSF, ITBP, Chhattisgarh Police, Central Force, and Odisha jawans. Sisters tied rakhis to the jawans, showing appreciation and love. The sisters expressed that their safety and peace were a result of the jawans’ commitment. Dr. Lal Umed, the event organizer, acknowledged the sacrifices of the jawans who stay away from their families for the security of the nation, which allows everyone to celebrate festivals safely. He also highlighted the dangers of cybercrime and drug abuse. IPS Rajesh Kukreja acknowledged the gesture of Helping Hands as an honor to the police community. Manoj Goyal, a patron of Helping Hands, reiterated the organization’s goal of celebrating Raksha Bandhan with the jawans who safeguard the community. Babita Agarwal, the women’s wing president, reflected on the happiness of the jawans when receiving the rakhis. She added their aim is to comfort the jawans. The event included discussions on challenges like cybercrime and drug abuse, with an emphasis on the necessity of vigilance and awareness. The event served as both a celebration and a reminder of community security and awareness.
