Nissan India is set to launch a new car, as indicated by a recently released teaser video. The video showcases a location at a high altitude designed for observing the night sky and galaxies. The teaser includes the phrases “Now see something more” and “Stay tuned.” The company has not yet revealed the name or specific details of the upcoming model. However, it is expected to be a 7-seater car, potentially sharing features with the Renault Triber. Nissan previously announced plans to introduce a new compact MPV in India, which will utilize the same platform, features, and engine as the Triber. Renault recently updated the 2025 Renault Triber with new features and design changes. Nissan may announce more details about its upcoming model in the coming weeks. The new sub-compact MPV was initially teased alongside a new mid-size SUV, which will be based on the third-generation Renault Duster. The official teaser revealed the front of the MPV, highlighting Nissan’s signature grille, a sporty bumper with silver accents, new LED DRLs, functional roof rails, and new alloy wheels. Although the new 7-seater will have a different appearance than the Triber, their dimensions are expected to be similar. The Renault MPV measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width, and 1,643 mm in height. The upcoming 7-seater will use the same engine as the Renault Triber. The Triber is powered by a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The new car is expected to be one of the most affordable 7-seater cars in India, with an estimated starting price of around Rs 6.5 lakh. The current price range for the new Renault Triber is between Rs 6.30 lakh and Rs 9.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
