The District Magistrate of Jehanabad, Alankrita Pandey, publicly reprimanded officials in Kako Nagar Panchayat due to the dire sanitary conditions and the ensuing health crisis, marked by a significant rise in diarrhea cases. During her visit, the DM encountered widespread issues, including poor water quality and inadequate sanitation. Her anger flared as she addressed the officials, sharply criticizing their inaction and the resulting suffering of the local residents. She inquired why the problems of waterlogging and accumulated waste remained unresolved. The local community also took the opportunity to voice their issues to the DM. A video of the DM’s strong response has gone viral, with social media users applauding her proactive approach. She has warned that negligence would not be accepted and that the administration will collaborate with the community to ameliorate the conditions and provide necessary support.
