Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has declared the Hyundai Creta as the leading model in sales within India from January to July 2025. Over the last seven months, Hyundai has successfully sold 1,17,458 units of the Creta, an 8% rise compared to the previous year’s figures. The Creta maintains its standing as a popular vehicle among consumers.
Marking its 10th year in the Indian market since its introduction in 2015, the Creta has secured its position as the top-selling SUV of 2025. Furthermore, it has achieved the number one spot in overall car sales for three months out of the past six. Since its launch, more than 1.2 million units have been sold, and the Creta leads the mid-size SUV segment with a market share exceeding 31%.
Hyundai Creta’s Engine Choices
The Hyundai Creta is available in three different variants, offering both manual and automatic transmission options. The SUV is currently priced between ₹11.11 lakh and ₹20.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can select from three engine choices: a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol, a 1.5-liter petrol, or a 1.5-liter diesel engine.
Fuel Economy of the Hyundai Creta
The mileage provided by the Hyundai Creta differs based on the specific variant. The petrol variant with manual transmission offers 17.4 km/liter, while the automatic transmission version provides 18.4 km/liter. Diesel versions achieve 21.8 km/liter with a manual transmission and 19.1 km/liter with an automatic transmission.
Key Features of the Hyundai Creta
The Creta is distinguished by its features, including a next-generation 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. For safety, the car includes six airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, and Level-2 ADAS features, such as forward collision warning, blind-spot collision warning, and collision avoidance assist.
