In a meeting at the Parliament House, Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The primary agenda involved extending an invitation to the Prime Minister to attend the Amrit Rajat Mahotsav, a significant event commemorating the 25th anniversary of Chhattisgarh’s formation. The celebration is scheduled to take place in Raipur on November 1, 2025.
Beyond the invitation, the Chief Minister took the opportunity to brief the Prime Minister on the state’s development trajectory, key priorities, and plans for public welfare. He emphasized the substantial progress that Chhattisgarh is making under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. The discussion included the ‘Anjor Vision @2047’ document, which sets out a framework for comprehensive and sustainable development in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Sai updated the Prime Minister on the Jan Vishwas Vidheyak 2025, which the Chhattisgarh government has passed to increase transparency in the justice system. This initiative was inspired by the Central Government’s Jan Vishwas Act 2023.
The Chhattisgarh State Capital Region Development Authority (SCRDA), focused on the organized development of Nava Raipur, was also discussed. The goal is to establish a modern and smart urban center.
Progress in industrial investment and job creation was another key topic. The new Industrial Policy 2024-30, introduced in 2024, has led to increased investor interest. A single-window system has been implemented to streamline the establishment of industries, with special incentives for businesses creating substantial employment.
Chief Minister Sai reported that 84 companies had submitted investment proposals totaling Rs 6.65 lakh crore between November 2024 and July 2025. Additionally, the foundation stone has been laid for India’s first semiconductor unit in Nava Raipur, and an AI data center is under construction. The state is focusing on industries such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, and IT services to promote technological and industrial growth.
In the education sector, the Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s commitment to providing quality education in rural and remote areas through school and teacher rationalization. Efforts are also underway to integrate technology in tribal areas, supported by digital resources and trained teachers.
The Chief Minister also briefed the Prime Minister on the Medicity and Edu City projects, which are under development. Medicity in Raipur is designed to be a premier healthcare center, contributing to Chhattisgarh’s status as a medical hub and creating widespread employment opportunities.
Finally, the discussions touched upon the rehabilitation and confidence-building initiatives in Naxal-affected areas. The Chief Minister highlighted that the government’s sensitive policies have resulted in numerous Naxalites surrendering and returning to normal life. Investments in essential services such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure are building trust and encouraging citizens to engage in the development process.
