A tragic event has sent shockwaves through Delhi. A man is accused of killing his 10-year-old son in the Narela area. The incident is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, according to a complaint filed by the boy’s mother. She had been living apart from the father, the alleged perpetrator, due to a previous disagreement.
The child was found dead in Narela, Delhi, with injury marks around his neck. The mother, Komal, reported that her husband admitted to killing their son. A case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Narela Police Station. Police are currently conducting raids in an effort to locate and arrest the accused, who has fled.
The police confirmed that an FIR is being registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and efforts are ongoing to find and apprehend the absconding father.
According to the police, “On 29/07/2025, information regarding the recovery of the dead body of a 10-year-old child with visible injury marks on the neck was received at PS Narela. The complainant, Smt. Komal, wife of Narender, resident of Khasra No. 39/17, Om Vihar Colony, Bankner, Narela, Delhi, stated that due to a dispute with her husband, she had been residing separately along with her two children. On the same day (29.07.2025), her younger son ‘V’, aged 10, had gone to school but did not return. Later, her husband Narender informed her that he had killed ‘V’.”
In a separate incident in the same area, two criminals accused in a murder case were injured in an encounter with the Delhi Police’s Special Cell in Narela earlier in July, and were subsequently hospitalized. Police said, “The accused were asked to surrender, but they opened fire on the police party.”
The police reported that the Special Cell’s Northern Range had received information about the criminals’ presence in Delhi, after which a trap was laid in the Narela area.
