As the Adivasi Mahotsav 2025 approaches, scheduled for August 9, 10, and 11, 2025, to commemorate World Tribal Day, the organization is in full swing. A key part of the promotional efforts is the launch of an awareness chariot. This chariot will carry information, highlight the importance of the event, and convey messages to the public. Rajiv Lochan Bakshi, Special Secretary cum Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, flagged off the chariot on Tuesday.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Adivasi Mahotsav 2025 is envisioned to be an inclusive and grand celebration. It will be more than just a cultural presentation; it will celebrate identity, struggle, and pride, integrating traditional tribal culture with modern elements. The festival will provide an opportunity to learn about tribal culture, identity, rights, and contributions. It will showcase the diverse culture, traditions, folk art, languages, attire, and cuisine of tribal communities from across the state, country, and the world, fostering a robust cultural dialogue.
Features of the Awareness Chariot:
The chariot will travel through prominent areas of Ranchi, including major intersections, markets, schools, and crowded locations. It will display tribal artwork and cultural messages through posters and banners, educating the public on the historical, social, and cultural aspects of the tribal community. The chariot will disseminate information about the festival’s dates, venue, special attractions, invited artists, and cultural performances. The chariot will also travel to other districts in the state to maximize the event’s outreach and impact. Present at the launch were officials and staff from the Information and Public Relations Department, including Deputy Director Anand.
