The film ‘Saiyaara’, directed by Mohit Suri, has become a major success, quickly rising to the top of the box office charts. Featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, the romantic drama has achieved a major milestone, crossing the Rs 200 crore mark in just nine days.
The film opened strongly, earning Rs 21.5 crore on its first day, and saw its earnings grow over the weekend with Rs 26 crore on day two and Rs 35.75 crore on day three. Following a slight dip on day four, the film maintained its momentum throughout the weekdays. By the end of its first week, ‘Saiyaara’ had accumulated an impressive Rs 172.75 crore. The second weekend further added to its success.
According to early estimates, the romantic drama saw a substantial rise on its second Saturday with an estimated Rs 26.5 crore. This brings the film’s total box office earnings over nine days to a remarkable Rs 217.25 crore.
‘Saiyaara’ is now the second Hindi film of 2025 to reach the Rs 200 crore mark, following ‘Chhaava’. The Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna starrer reached this milestone in a similar timeframe and remains the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, with a net collection of Rs 270 crore.
‘Saiyaara’ is a love story featuring Krish and Vaani, who come from different backgrounds. The film also features Alam Khan, Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, Sid Makkar, Shaan Groverr, and Neil Dutta.
The movie is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Mohit Suri, known for his emotionally-driven love stories. He has previously directed films such as ‘Awarapan’, ‘Ek Villain’, ‘Aashiqui 2’, ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Raaz: The Mysterious Continues’, ‘Murder 2’, ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, and ‘Malang’.
This is Ahaan Panday’s first film, while Aneet Padda was previously in the web series ‘Big Girl Don’t Cry’.
