A two-year-old boy, Divyansh Kumar, has died in Korba, Chhattisgarh, after choking on a chickpea. The incident occurred at the family home. While the child was playing, he swallowed a chickpea, which became lodged in his throat, leading to breathing difficulties. The child was immediately taken to a hospital, where medical professionals attempted to dislodge the chickpea and provide treatment. The chickpea had moved from the throat into the lungs, causing internal bleeding. Tragically, the child did not survive. The family has alleged negligence in the medical care, a pediatric specialist, however, stated the child was in critical condition on arrival at the hospital.
