In a recent operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed Bashar Thabet, a Hamas commander involved in the group’s weapons production. Thabet’s role included overseeing research and development within Hamas’ weapons manufacturing. The IDF also dismantled terrorist infrastructure, neutralized terrorists, and destroyed tunnel shafts. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeted approximately 75 terror targets, including military facilities and other infrastructure. Previously, the IDF also eliminated Muhammad Uthayn, Commander of Hamas’ Daraj Tuffah Battalion. Demonstrations occurred in Israel and in front of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, urging U.S. President Donald Trump to help secure the release of hostages. Amid ceasefire negotiations, Trump indicated that more hostages were expected to be released shortly.
