Police in Gumla district, Jharkhand, have arrested three individuals in connection with the gang rape of a minor girl. The incident occurred within the Sadar police station jurisdiction, where the girl was abducted and subjected to a brutal sexual assault in a secluded area. The perpetrators then left her in a forest and issued threats to her. The girl later informed her family, who promptly notified the police. A medical examination was conducted, and a case was registered under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections. Following the instructions of the Gumla SP, a team led by Sadar SDPO Suresh Prasad Yadav was formed, leading to the quick arrest of Anup Oraon, Pankaj Oraon, and Balram Mahto, all residents of the Sadar police station area. Authorities also seized a scooter used in the crime. The community is expressing widespread anger and demanding severe punishment for the accused.
