In Haridwar, Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assessed the preparations for the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, recognizing the high levels of enthusiasm among the participating devotees. According to his statement, the pilgrims have expressed contentment with the arrangements made. Dhami expressed his prayers for a safe yatra for all. Earlier in the day, CM Dhami oversaw the laying of the foundation stone for a 251-feet-tall saffron flag along the Ganga’s banks. Currently, many Kanwariyas are gathering holy water from the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri as part of the annual pilgrimage. CM Dhami welcomed Shiva devotees, emphasizing the government’s commitment to offering a divine and unforgettable experience. He also stated that more than one crore devotees have already collected Ganga water. The Kanwar Yatra, which began on July 10, is an annual pilgrimage where devotees collect water and carry it to Lord Shiva temples, observing religious rituals.
