Mark Rutte, the Secretary General of NATO, has warned India of potential secondary sanctions due to its continued trade with Russia. The warning extends to China and Brazil as well, with sanctions threatened unless these nations cease business with Russia. Rutte specifically called upon the leaders of India, China, and Brazil to speak with Vladimir Putin and encourage him to accept a US-brokered peace deal. He stated that continued trade, including the purchase of Russian oil and gas, would result in the imposition of sanctions. He stressed the urgency of serious peace talks, warning of the negative consequences for the mentioned nations. At the same time, Rutte reassured that Europe would support Ukraine financially, to assist it in a stronger position during peace talks with Russia and vowed to continue to support the country with military aid.
