The local community in Koderma is in shock following the suicide of a nine-month pregnant woman, Shivani Kumari, 24, who was found hanging at her home on Devi Mandap Road, under the jurisdiction of Tiliya police station. The incident took place on Saturday evening. A neighbor, Sapan Kumar, stated that he heard cries from Shivani’s house and went to investigate. He found her body inside, lying on a bed. Her sister confirmed that Shivani had ended her life by hanging herself. The woman was expecting to give birth this month, and her sister was there to help. It has been revealed that Shivani, her husband, and her sister had a disagreement earlier in the afternoon. Following the dispute, the husband moved to another room while Shivani went to a different one. Later, the husband was woken up by the sound of their children crying. Upon entering his wife’s room, he discovered her hanging from the ceiling fan. The body was taken down and brought to Sadar Hospital Koderma. Shivani was the mother of two children, and her husband is a fruit seller. The couple resided in a rented house. Police arrived at the scene and began an investigation. The body was sent to Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
