The construction of the new Chhattisgarh Assembly building is progressing rapidly, with a recent inspection by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao highlighting the focus on interior and furniture installations. The Deputy Chief Minister reviewed the progress and directed officials to meet the September deadline for completion. The project is slated for a grand unveiling on November 1st. The new building will accommodate the Assembly Secretariat, offices for the Deputy Chief Ministers and Ministers, the Assembly House, Central Hall and offices for the Chief Minister and Assembly Speaker. Spanning 52 acres in Nava Raipur, the Assembly will have a seating capacity of 200. Plans include a 500-seat auditorium and parking for 700 cars. Two lakes, each covering 1.5 acres, are also planned for the complex.
