According to officials, waterlogging in Delhi was minimal, despite heavy rainfall. NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal, during an inspection of drainage operations on Africa Avenue road, stated that there were almost no waterlogging incidents in areas under NDMC. He credited the positive result to a collective effort, reinforcing the NDMC’s dedication to a waterlogging-free environment. The rainwater harvesting system in Bharti Nagar was highlighted as an effective measure in mitigating water accumulation. The NDMC has arranged pumps to remove stagnant water and redirect it to the Lodhi Road drain. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also confirmed that there was no waterlogging in Delhi following the recent downpours. Gupta specifically mentioned the improvement at Minto Bridge, an area often affected by flooding in the past.
