The state government has decided that B.Ed-qualified teachers, who were previously terminated but are now being appointed as Assistant Teacher Science Lab, will not be granted the benefit of prior service calculation. This ruling means the seniority of these teachers will be reset, and their years of experience teaching with B.Ed qualifications will not be recognized.
The DPI has issued corresponding orders to all districts except Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, and Janjgir-Champa. The District Education Officers (DEOs) are instructed to prepare new employee codes and service records. Furthermore, the previous service tenure of the teachers, in their former role as Assistant Teachers, will not be considered as part of the qualifying service for their current appointment.
