Jairam Mahto, the MLA of Dumri, is set to launch a significant initiative to support women in his constituency. He aims to provide a monthly pension of ₹1,000 to women who have lost their family’s primary earner and are facing economic difficulties. This project is expected to be implemented soon. In an interview, the MLA expressed his intention to help these women. He said, “We are considering providing these women with a monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 from my salary.” He added that it would be a historic move for an MLA to provide pensions to women from their own salary, and he is currently considering the details.
Recently, on July 8th, the MLA organized a talent recognition event using 75% of his three-month salary. The toppers of the Matric and Intermediate examinations from the Dumri assembly constituency were honored by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar. Top students received laptops and tablets, while other students were given medals.
