The Bharat Bandh had a noticeable impact across various locations in Jharkhand, specifically affecting coal mining sectors. Various unions engaged in protests and demonstrations to ensure the strike’s success, leading to work stoppages. In the Gobindpur excavation department in Dhanbad, union representatives were seen ensuring that work was halted. This area is part of BCCL, a prominent coal mining region, featuring both operational and closed mines.
The nationwide industrial strike’s influence was also apparent in the Gandhi Nagar area. In Bokaro, leaders from the joint front brought operations to a standstill at the Khasmahal Konar project and Bokaro Colliery. Several locations witnessed intense clashes. However, BMS leaders dismissed the strike’s effectiveness.
Protests also took place at the Bokaro Thermal Power Plant. At the main gate of the CCL Gobindpur project, AMC-ARC laborers protested in support of the strike, chanting slogans and wearing black badges. Several images showcased the impact and extent of the bandh.
