The Gumla district in Jharkhand witnessed a shocking murder where a businessman, Vinod Agarwal, was killed by three assailants. The accused were apprehended within 24 hours of the crime, which took place on Sisai Road. The attackers used a sword and iron rods in the fatal assault. The arrested individuals are Anchal Bium Tirkey (Chikku), Juliman Minj, and Sameer Toppo. Authorities recovered the weapons and a motorcycle. The investigation revealed a history of animosity. The primary suspect, Chikku, admitted the murder was motivated by years of being insulted by the victim, who repeatedly called his family ‘thieves’. The plan was devised in retaliation for these insults. On the day of the murder, the suspects consumed alcohol and marijuana before carrying out the attack, which was captured on CCTV. The accused have a history of criminal activities, including serious charges.
