Heavy rainfall is affecting most of Chhattisgarh, leading to overflowing rivers and localized flooding. Raipur is experiencing ongoing rainfall this morning. Light to moderate showers are expected statewide on Tuesday, with the Durg, Bastar, and Bilaspur divisions under alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall. A low-pressure area and associated cyclonic circulation in the southwest Gangetic West Bengal region are contributing to the weather system, which is moving towards Jharkhand and northern Chhattisgarh. The monsoon trough and a trough originating from southern Rajasthan are also significant weather features. The meteorological department anticipates thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds accompanied by moderate rainfall in several districts, including Dhamtari, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Durg, and Bemetara, within the next three hours. Light rainfall is expected in numerous other districts. The forecast for Raipur indicates cloudy skies and rain, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius.
