Police in Gumla have swiftly apprehended three individuals in connection with the murder of businessman Vinod Agrawal. The quick resolution of the case, occurring within 24 hours, revealed an old rivalry as the primary motive. The suspects, identified as Anchal Bium Tirkey (Chiku), Julian Minj (Julie), and Sameer Toppo, were taken into custody. Law enforcement also recovered the weapons used in the crime, including an iron rod and a sword. Initially, the incident was reported as a road accident; however, a thorough investigation, including the review of CCTV footage, confirmed the murder. Chiku and Julie had previous encounters with the law. The underlying cause for the murder was a dispute during Christmas, where Vinod Agrawal accused Chiku’s brother of theft. This incident led to persistent taunts, and eventually, Chiku planned the murder as retribution. On the day of the attack, Chiku, along with his accomplices, ambushed Agrawal.
