The village of Baghiya RC Toli, under the Rania police station in Khunti district, Jharkhand, is in mourning following the tragic drowning of two children in a pond. The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 5 pm. The deceased have been identified as Ashish Kerketta, age 10, and Bilfred Marki, age 9. After the children didn’t return home, their families began a frantic search that extended into the night. The next morning, a villager discovered the bodies and alerted the community. The Rania police arrived, documented the incident, and sent the bodies for a post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital Khunti. The families are devastated by the loss.
