The families of four workers who died in a mine collapse at the Karma project in Ramgarh will receive a compensation of ₹8 lakh. The incident occurred during illegal mining operations in the Kuju OP area. After significant protests and negotiations involving the CCL management, district administration, and political parties, an agreement was reached. Each family of the deceased miners will receive ₹1.70 lakh from CCL, while the district administration will contribute ₹30,000 per family. In addition to the financial compensation, one member of each family will be given a job through outsourcing. The deceased miners have been identified as Mo. Imtiyaz, Rameswar Manjhi, Wakil Karmali, and Nirmal Munda. The agreement was signed by family members and CCL management. The incident occurred when a large section of the coal mine caved in during illegal mining activity.
