In a brazen act of violence, a gang wreaked havoc in Latehar, Jharkhand, late Saturday night. The incident took place near the CCL-affected Phulbasiya (Amarwadih) railway siding in the Bariyatu police station area. Criminals set fire to a truck (Hyva) and fired shots. Police recovered a note at the scene, in which the Rahul Dubey gang claimed responsibility. The note warned coal traders in the areas of Latehar, Chatra, and Balumath against conducting business without contacting the gang. Police are investigating the incident and have launched a search for the perpetrators. The SDPO denied reports of shots being fired, but confirmed that an FIR had been filed. The truck was completely destroyed in the fire. The gang’s actions have created fear in the area.
