According to villagers, the more rain and lightning, the more Rugda will emerge, splitting the earth around the Sal forests and trees. Many people also know this vegetable by the name of underground mushroom. There are 12 species of Rugda, with white Rugda being considered the most nutritious. This vegetable not only keeps Jharkhand’s rich culinary culture alive but also plays an important role in strengthening Jharkhand’s rural economy. The price of this vegetable is not Rs 50 or Rs 100 per kg, but Rs 1000 to Rs 1200 per kg.
