A major incident happened at the State-Tax Bhawan, the GST revenue collection office in Hazaribagh. The old and damaged boundary wall on the rear of the building suddenly collapsed. This has increased the safety concerns of the people. The incident occurred at the GST revenue collection office, which is one of the major government offices in Hazaribagh city.
The wall collapsed while it was raining. It is said that the wall was very old and in a state of disrepair. No maintenance was carried out on the boundary wall for a long time. Bricks and plaster from the collapsed wall are falling to the ground.
The authorities have informed the Ranchi headquarters about the wall collapse. They said that the existing boundary wall was very dilapidated. The wall collapsed because of the initial rainfall. This has increased the safety risk in the State-Tax Bhawan premises. Numerous old vehicles are parked there.
The department is being requested to repair the wall or build a new one. During checking, various goods loaded in vehicles are kept safely within the premises by the authorities. However, due to the wall’s collapse, the safekeeping of the items and other materials has become insecure.
