The Indian Army’s Fire and Fury Corps demonstrated exceptional mountaineering skills by successfully summiting Mount Kang Yatse in Ladakh’s challenging terrain. The expedition was undertaken between June 25th and July 4th, 2025, and was dedicated to honoring the brave soldiers on the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas. The team successfully scaled Mount Kang Yatse I (6400 m) and Mount Kang Yatse II (6245 m). The ascent of Mount Kang Yatse I proved particularly difficult, emphasizing the team’s extraordinary endurance and teamwork. This successful expedition reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to operational readiness and strengthens its capabilities in high-altitude regions, especially in the strategically important Eastern Ladakh sector.
