Under the Maiya Samman Yojana, the Jharkhand government has provided financial assistance to women in Palamu district. Funds for the month of May have been disbursed to the bank accounts of 349,080 beneficiaries. The total amount of 87.27 crore rupees was transferred through the treasury. Each recipient received 2500 rupees, which became available in their accounts starting Friday. Before this, the April installment was disbursed in June. The scheme is supported by an allocation of 559 crore rupees from the Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security, covering a five-month period. The funds are being credited to those beneficiaries who have linked their bank accounts with Aadhaar and have activated the DBT option. In March, a combined payment of 7500 rupees, representing three months of installments, was provided to many beneficiaries.
