The Andhra Pradesh High Court has granted bail to Pomil Jain, Vipin Jain, and Apurva Chavda in the TTD adulterated ghee case. The court cited procedural lapses in the investigation as the reason for its decision, stating that their continued incarceration was not justified. The defendants have reiterated their full cooperation with the investigation and their willingness to adhere to stringent bail conditions. The defense counsel, Senior Advocate S. Sriram and Advocate Sushil Kumar, argued that the investigation was flawed, specifically highlighting that the accused were initially called as witnesses before being arrested and detained. They also noted delays in filing FIRs related to witness intimidation. The case involves allegations of adulterated ghee being supplied to the temple, with the investigation being led by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
