Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, faced a change in plans during his visit to Jharkhand. After officiating the inauguration and laying of foundation stones for national highway projects in Garhwa, Gadkari was set to inaugurate an elevated corridor in Ranchi. However, his travel was affected. Gadkari had arrived in Ranchi by plane earlier in the day and was welcomed by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and other BJP leaders at Birsa Munda Airport. Following the completion of events in Garhwa, where Gadkari announced investments of Rs 2 lakh crore for infrastructure projects in Jharkhand, he was expected to return to Ranchi. Due to inclement weather conditions in Garhwa, Gadkari’s helicopter could not take off, leading him to travel to Gaya instead. A chartered aircraft was arranged from Ranchi to bring him to the state capital, where he was scheduled to inaugurate the elevated corridor on Ratu Road later that evening.
