As discussions about potential alliances for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections are ongoing, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi commented on the Mahagathbandhan, led by the RJD and Congress. He advised the coalition not to lament post-election results, using the analogy “Mummy, they stole our chocolate.” During an interview, Owaisi addressed the possibility of his party forming an alliance with the Mahagathbandhan. In a separate statement, Owaisi expressed concern that the Election Commission is effectively implementing the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Bihar through new voter registration rules, which require extensive documentation. He warned that this could negatively impact voter participation, especially for those in impoverished areas like Seemanchal.
