A major rail accident took place in Sahibganj, Jharkhand, on Thursday morning, involving a goods train. The train, which was carrying stones, derailed at the Barharwa railway loading point. Approximately 18 wagons were affected in the incident. Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties. However, the accident is expected to result in significant financial losses for the railways. Railway officials, including those from the Malda DRM office and station management, have reached the site to investigate the cause and assess the damage. The investigation is ongoing.
