Tanushree Dwivedi, a Wushu athlete from Ranchi, is set to represent Jharkhand at the Batumi Open International Wushu Tournament 2025 in Georgia, taking place from August 1st to 6th, 2025. She is scheduled to depart on July 27th for the competition. Tanushree, a B.Com student at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University (DSPMU) in Ranchi, began her Wushu journey in the third or fourth grade, encouraged by her sister and brother-in-law. Under the coaching of Deepak Gop at the Morabadi ground in Ranchi, she honed her skills and began competing in 2014. Throughout her career, she has earned numerous medals at national events. Some of her notable achievements include a bronze medal at the Sub Junior National Wushu Championship in Jammu and Kashmir, a silver medal at the Junior Wushu National Championship in Fatehabad, Haryana, and a bronze medal at the Senior National Wushu Championship held in Pune, Maharashtra. She has also secured two gold medals and one bronze medal at the Wushu Federation Cup in Ranchi, and a silver and a bronze medal at the Wushu Federation Cup in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. At the All India Inter University, she won a gold medal and a bronze medal. Tanushree is a second-year B.Com student at DSPMU, and she completed her 12th-grade education at Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School. She comes from a family of three children, with her parents being Pankaj Kumar Dwivedi and Ragini Dwivedi.
