External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasized India’s commitment to confront terrorism and reject nuclear coercion. He stated that India would not yield to nuclear blackmail and would defend its citizens. Jaishankar’s remarks followed the Pahalgam terror attack, which he described as an attempt to damage Kashmir’s economy. He asserted that India would not accept terrorists as proxies and would hold accountable those who support and finance them. Drawing on India’s history of battling terrorism, including the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and the Parliament attack, Jaishankar called for global unity against terrorism. He also highlighted India’s response to the Pahalgam attack. He emphasized that there should be no tolerance for terrorism. India has been a victim of terrorism for the past four decades, and it has experienced horrific cases. The minister has made it clear that there will be no impunity for terrorists.
