The Bihar cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has approved a significant development plan for Punora Dham in Sitamarhi, the birthplace of Goddess Sita. This project, modeled on the Ayodhya Ram Temple, will involve the construction of a grand temple and other infrastructure, with an investment of approximately ₹883 crore. The Chief Minister shared the news, highlighting the project’s aim to comprehensively develop Punora Dham, making it a prominent religious and cultural site. The government has given its approval for the plan, and work is expected to begin soon. The project reflects the government’s focus on developing religious sites. The cabinet also decided on printing the ballot papers for the upcoming 2025 elections from Kolkata’s Saraswati Press Limited.
