The Odisha Vigilance has arrested Susil Kumar Panda, an Assistant Executive Engineer, after finding that his assets significantly surpassed his declared income. Investigations showed his assets were 163% greater than his known sources of income. The raids, which were conducted in Berhampur, Puri, Ganjam, and Panda’s office, unearthed a range of assets including real estate, cash, gold, and extensive bank and insurance deposits. Panda was taken into custody after failing to provide sufficient documentation to account for the assets.
